The Environmental Protection section of the society aims to disclose relevant information on environmental protection issues related to the nuclear energy/fuel cycle. The division communicates with other civil organizations for discussion and information exchange. During the past five years the members have invited nuclear physics, nuclear engineering, sociology and financial experts for fair and transparent discussion on issues strongly related to environmental impact and social acceptance or aversion.

The years 2013 to 2016 coincided with the preparatory phase of Paks II new blocks has raised interest of young scientists and engineers to follow the seminars and meeting organized by the division. The site of this seminars was at Óbuda University that is training engineers who have no curriculum in nuclear energy.
