The Teacher Section of Hungarian Nuclear Society was founded in Jászberény on 20 October 1991, one year after the foundation of HNS. The section had 21 members at that time.

 The main goal of the section was to spread nuclear awareness among students and adults with the help of "nuclear" teachers. To reach this goal they use scientific publication of nuclear societies, video films and other picture materials.

 The members of the Teacher Section  take part in the organization of Szilárd Leó Physics Competition every year and in the program of the Nuclear Summer Camp.
