A mai napon a Magyar Nukleáris Társaság vezetése nyílt levelet küldött az Ukrán Nukleáris Társaságnak, aminek teljes szövege itt olvasható. Ebben a Magyar Nukleáris Társaság nevében kifejeztük sajnálatunkat és megrökönyödésünket az ukrán nukleáris létesítmények körüli katonai műveletek miatt, és szintén kifejeztük elismerésünket az ukrán létesítmények személyzetének, akik most is a nukleáris biztonságot szem előtt tartva dolgoznak rendkívül nehéz körülmények között.

A Magyar Nukleáris Társaságnak erősen korlátozottak a képességei, hogy segítséget nyújtsunk az ukrán kollegáknak, de a tagságot az Amerikai Nukleáris Társaság és az Európai Nukleáris Társaság közös kezdeményezésének támogatására kértük: The ANS-ENS Ukrainian Nuclear Workers Humanitarian Fund

On behalf of more than 3,000 our members, the Ukrainian Nuclear Society sincerely thanks you and your colleagues for their support.
At this difficult time for Ukraine, any assistance is crucial to fight the aggressor, who insidiously attacked Ukraine, began destroying cities, killing civilians, destroying infrastructure and even seizing nuclear facilities. Thousands of innocent people are killed by aggressor bombs or they become refugees.

I think you know that a number of nuclear facilities are now under the control of Russian troops. The largest Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant in Europe came under fire, and personnel, including who controls the reactor unit, works under the barrels of enemy submachine guns. The Chernobyl nuclear power plant and many spent fuel management facilities in the Chernobyl zone are also under the control of the Russian military, which does not know how to manage it or ensure security.

We call on the world community to stop this aggression and at least guarantee the safety of nuclear facilities. Ukraine is one of the largest states in the world, which uses nuclear facilities and must prevent a catastrophe.

We are grateful to you and your colleagues for their support.
I am personally in Kyiv and coordinate the humanitarian aid that comes from the EU countries, I meet it at the border and together with my colleagues deliver to our satellite cities of Ukrainian nuclear power plants. Unfortunately, except for Energodar, which is impossible to enter due to the occupation.

Our colleagues, employees of Ukrainian NPPs who defend our nuclear power plants need bulletproof vests, night vision devices, first aid kits, equipment, medicines and other things. But first and foremost, personal protective equipment that saves lives.

We will be very grateful for any help that will allow us to protect our land, our families and our freedom.

My warm congratulations to all members of the Hungarian Nuclear Society. Many of them know me personally, because we met during your visit to Ukraine and our visit to Hungary at the Paks NPP.
